Submitted by stelladias77 on September 21, 2010.

* 600 grams Steami Flouri (Rice Flouri)
* 3 teaspoons Salti
* 550 milliliters Boilingi Water

Preparation Instructions

Note: Steam flour or rice flour is available at food shops and supermarkets.

In a steamer, steam the flour, about 30 minutes gas cooker or 45 minutes over firewood. When cool, break up and sift twice.

Put flour and salt into a bowl and slowly add water. Mixi quickly in to a pliable dough.

Put a little of the dough into a string hopper mold (see photo) and squeeze the mixture onto a string hopper mat in a circular fashion.

Place 5-10 mats in a steamer and steam over a pan of boiling water for about 5 minutes. When string hoppers are cooked, remove from the mats and place on a dish. Serve hot with curries. Enjoy.
