Winter fruit compote ingredients

  • 1 c Chicken broth, (College Inn)
  • 3 T Sugar, light brown
  • 2 T Lemon juice
  • 1 t Cornstarch
  • 1⁄4 t Allspice, ground
  • 16 oz Peaches, sliced, drained
  • 20 oz Pineapple chunks, drained
  • 17 oz Cherries, dark sweet pitted
  • 1 Drained
  • 6 oz Apricots, dried

Cooking Winter fruit compote

1. In 3-quart oven-proof casserole, stir together broth, brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch and allspice; add fruits, stirring well.
2. Cover; bake at 350 °F for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Serve warm as a side dish with poultry or pork or as a dessert.
