Wickerhead Co. Cafe's Cranberry Buttermilk Scones ingredients

  • 2 t Granulated sugar
  • 3 t baking powder
  • c butter
  • 1 t Grated orange rind
  • 2 Eggs

Cooking Wickerhead Co. Cafe's Cranberry Buttermilk Scones

1. Blend 1/4 cup of the flour with cranberries and let stand overnight to absorb excess moisture.
2. Next day, mix remaining flour and all other dry ingredients.
3. Cut into butter until mixture is consistency of oatmeal.
4. Stiri in cranberries in flour and orange rind.
5. Blend eggs and buttermilk.
6. Add to dry ingredients, mixing until just blended.
7. If dough is sticky, flour hands and pat into a 6-inch ball.
8. Scorei deeply into six wedges.
9. Bakei in a 400F oven until top turns golden and springs back, about 15 minutes.
10. Glazei with fresh cream and sugar immediately after baking.
