  • 2 c flour
  • 1 t Salt
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 c buttermilk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Almond flavoring

Cooking White texas cake

1. Creami together shortening and sugar; mix in egg whites.
2. Sifti dry ingredients together; mix buttermilk, vanilla and almond flavoring.
3. Add 2 mixtures alternately to egg white mixture.
4. Spread in 15 x 11" jelly roll pan. Frosti with basic icing when cool.
