White rice - pressure cooker ingredients

  • 3 c water
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 t Salt
  • 2 c long-grain white rice

Cooking White rice - pressure cooker

1. To cook reduced quantities: reduce all ingredients proportionately but not below one-fourth.
2. Pour water into cooker.
3. Bring to boil on high heat.
4. Add remaining ingredients.
5. Stiri Close cooker.
6. Bring to full pressure on medium-high heat.
7. Reducei heat and cook for 5 minutes.
8. Remove cooker from heat.
9. Allow to cool naturally for 5 minutes.
10. Press finger-tip control lightly to release pressure.
11. Open cooker.
12. Yield: 6 cups if you with to omit butter: 1 cup long-grain white rice 2 ½ cups water to cook reduced quantities: reduce all ingredients proportionately except water in step 2; do not reduce water in step 2 at all. Put rice and ½ cups water in a metal bowl (large enough to hold 3 ½ cups).
13. Stir. Pour remaining water (1 cup) into cooker.
14. Put grid in cooker.
15. Place bowl on grid.
16. Close cooker.
17. Bring to full pressure on high heat.
18. Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes.
19. Remove cooker from heat.
20. Allow to cool naturally for 5 minutes.
21. Press finger-tip control lightly to release pressure.
22. Open cooker.
