White grape jelly ingredients

  • 1 t Unflavored gelatin
  • 1 2⁄3 c Unsweetened white grapejuice
  • 2 t Lemon juice
  • 3 Allspice berries or cloves
  • 2 t Artificial sweetener

Cooking White grape jelly

1. Tested feb 94 with ½ tsp liquid sugartwin and whole cloves.
2. Sprinkle gelatin over ¼ cup grape juice.
3. Combine remaining grape juice, lemon juice and allspice berries or whole cloves in a medium saucepan.
4. Boil vigorously about 7 minutes to reduce to ¾ cup. (test batch took about 15 minutes in a small pot).
5. Remove from heat.
6. Stiri in sweetener and softened gelatin until it dissolves.
7. Discard allspice berries or cloves.
8. Pour into a sterilized jar. Cover tightly.
9. Store in refrigerator.
10. 2 tsp serving = 12 calories, 3 grams carbohydrate, 1++ extra.
