White fruit cake ingredients

  • 1 c Sugar

  • 3 c Cake flour

  • 1 c coconut
  • 1 c Finely cut candied pineapple
  • 1 c Candied cherries
  • 1 t Orange flavoring
  • 1 c butter
  • 2 Eggs, well beaten
  • 6 Egg whites
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 2 c Thinly sliced citron
  • 1 c Chopped raisins
  • 2 c nuts
  • 1 t Lemon flavoring

Cooking White fruit cake

1. Creami sugar and shortening.
2. Add eggs and beat thoroughly.
3. Sifti flour, measure.
4. Use 1 cup flour for dredging fruits.
5. Sift remainder with baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
6. Add alternately with fruit juice to first mixture.
7. Add flavorings, fruits, coconut, and nuts.
8. Mixi thoroughly.
9. Foldi in stiffly beaten egg whites.
10. Pour into well-oiled pan. Bakei in slow oven (325°F) about 1 hour.
