Welsh rabit ingredients

  • 500 g Bread, white
  • 100 g Cheese, cheddar
  • 15 g Mustard, English (Coleman's)
  • 25 g Butter, table
  • 1 1⁄4 dl Milk, pasteurised
  • 1 Egg yolks
  • 1⁄3 dl Beer
  • 1⁄50 g Salt
  • 5 g Cayenne pepper, ground
  • 1⁄50 dl worchestershire sause

Cooking Welsh rabit

1. MELT BUTTER IN A PAN ADD FLOUR AND MIX - COOK BUT DO NOT COLOUR GRADUALLY ADD THE COLD MILK AND MIX TO A SMOOTH SAUCE SIMMER AND THEN ADD THE GRATED CHEESE AND MELT ADD EGG YOLK AND STIR IN A SEPERATE PAN BOIL THE BEER AND REDUCE TO 1/2 TABLESPOON AND MIX WITH OTHER SAUCE ALLOW TO COOL AND SPREAD ON BREAD PLACE IT ON A BAKING TRAY AND GRATINATE.
