Walnut rosemary quinoa ingredients

  • 1 T Sesame oil
  • 1 small Onions
  • 1 1⁄4 c Quinoa, thoroughly rinsed
  • 1 small Red bell pepper, diced
  • 3 c water
  • 1 t Tamari soy sauce
  • 1 t Fresh rosemary OR
  • 1⁄2 t Dried rosemary
  • 1 c Fresh or frozen peas
  • 1⁄2 c Walnuts, chopped

Cooking Walnut rosemary quinoa

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Heat oil in a saucepan and add onion and quinoa.
3. Sautei over medium heat, stirring constantly for 3 minutes.
4. Add red bell pepper and saute an additional 2 minutes.
5. Add water, soy sauce and rosemary.
6. (if using fresh peas, add them now).
7. Bring contents to a boil; cover and simmer 15 minutes.
8. Meanwhile, roast walnuts in 350 degree oven for 5 minutes.
9. When quinoa is cooked, turn off heat and mix in walnuts and frozen peas.
10. Let set an additional 10 minutes and serve.
