Waldorf Astoria Cake

Waldorf Astoria Cake ingredients
- 1⁄2 c butter
- 4 oz Bitter chocolate; melted
- 2 c Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 1⁄2 c Milk
- 2 c Cake flour
- 2 t baking powder
- 2 t vanilla
- 1 t Salt
- 1 c Nut meats
- Frosting
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 oz chocolate; melted
- 3 T Strong coffee
- 2 c Powdered sugar;
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 pn Salt
Cooking Waldorf Astoria Cake
1. Creami together the butter and sugar.
2. Beat eggs and add to creamed mixture.
3. Add melted chocolate.
4. Mixi dry ingredients and add alternately with milk.
5. Stiri in vanilla and nuts.
6. Bakei in greased loaf pans (2) or a large bundt pan for 40 to 45 minutes at 350. Cool in pans for 10 to 15 minutes and turn out onto platter.
7. MAKE FROSTING: Cream cheesei until soft; work in sugar until fluffy.
8. Stir in melted chocolate and add vanilla and coffee.
9. Frosti cake when cooled.
