Unleavened Seed Cake ingredients

  • 1 c butter
  • 2 c Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Milk
  • OR 2 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk diluted With 6 Tbsp water
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Chopped nuts
  • 1 t vanilla
  • OR 1 tsp almond flavoring
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Mace
  • 1 t Carroway seed
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Chopped candied orange peel
  • 3 c flour

Cooking Unleavened Seed Cake

1. Creami butter and sugar, add well beaten egg yolks and milk.
2. Add flavoring and mace.
3. Sifti flour, measure, and sift with salt.
4. Add caraway seed, candied orange peel, and nuts to first mixture.
5. Beat thoroughly.
6. Foldi in stiffly beaten egg whites.
7. Pour into well-oiled loaf pan. Bakei in slow oven (350 F) about 1 hour.
