Tyropitta roumeliotiki (cheese pie) ingredients

  • 2 lb Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 10 ea Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 lb Phyllo pastry
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Melted butter for brushing

Cooking Tyropitta roumeliotiki (cheese pie)

1. Crumble feta cheese and mix with beaten eggs.
2. Butteri a baking pan the size of the phyllo pastry.
3. Put four sheets of phyllo into the pan, brushing each one with melted butter.
4. Spoon in some of the cheese mixture; top with 2 more phyllo sheets, brushing them with butter.
5. Continue in this manner until all cheese mixture is used up, saving 4 sheets of phyllo for top of pie. Scorei lightly in long strips.
6. Bakei in preheated 300°F.
7. oven for about 45 min. cut scored strips into 2-inch pcs. And serve hot.
