Turtle brownies ingredients

  • 1 pk German chocolate cake mix
  • 5 oz Evaporated milk (small can)
  • --- divided
  • 1 margarine; melted
  • 1 pk Kraft caramels, wrappers removed
  • 2 c chocolate chips
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Chopped walnuts or pecans

Cooking Turtle brownies

1. Mixi the cake mix, half of the evap.
2. Milk, and melted butter to form a batter.
3. Spread about ½ of the batter in the bottom of a cooking-sprayed 9x13 pan. Bakei at 375°F for 8 minutes.
4. While the crust is baking, melt the caramels with the rest of the evap.
5. Milk. You can do this in the microwave or on the stove.
6. I usually do it in the microwave for about 5-6 minutes, stirring after every 2 minutes.
7. Remove the crust from the oven.
8. Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips and then half of the nuts over the crust.
9. Pour the caramel sauce over everything.
10. Sprinkle the rest of the batter over the caramel.
11. Sprinkle the rest of the chips and nuts on top.
12. Bake at 375°F for 18 mins.
