Tuna with Biscuits ingredients

  • 1⁄2 c Onion, chopped
  • 2 T Reduced-calorie margarine
  • 6 T flour
  • 2 t Instant chicken bouillion -- granules
  • 1⁄4 t Salt
  • 1⁄4 t Dried thyme
  • 1⁄8 t Pepper
  • 2 c Skim or 1% milk
  • 1 1⁄2 c water
  • 13 oz Canned tuna; drained -- flaked
  • 2 c Frozen peas and carrots -- (or mixed vegs)
  • 3 T parsley
  • 1 pk (8) refrigerator biscuits

Cooking Tuna with Biscuits

1. Cook onion in margarine until tender but not brown.
2. Stiri in flour, buillion granules, salt, thyme and pepper.
3. Add milk and water.
4. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
5. Stir in fish and cooked vegs and parsley.
6. Heat till bubbly.
7. Immediately pour into a 1 1/2--2qt.
8. casserole dish.
9. Place biscuits on top and bake in a 400 F oven about 10-12 min. (Cover top with aluminum foil after 7-8 min. to keep top from getting too brown.
10. ) Each serving provides: 1V-1FA-2 1/4B-1/2M-1 1/2P and 5 opt cal. NOTE: If you change to a different meat or veg, you will have to adjust your exchanges, also with your biscuits.
