Triple Red Casserole ingredients

  • 2 T Onion
  • 2 T butter Or margarine
  • 4 c Red cabbage
  • 1⁄4 c Honey
  • 1⁄2 c Dry red wine
  • 1 cn Kidney beans
  • Salt and pepper

Cooking Triple Red Casserole

1. Drain beans; set aside.
2. In large skillet, saute onion in butter until limp but not brown.
3. Add cabbage, honey, wine and beans.
4. Cover and cook slowly 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Add more wine or water, if needed.
6. Taste and add salt and pepper as desired.
