Tofu pecan cutlets ingredients

  • 1 lb tofu, firm
  • 1 T water
  • 2 T Tamari
  • 1 T Sherry
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t sesame oil, toasted
  • Pn Black pepper
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 t basil
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Flour, plus 2 tsp
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c water
  • 1 c Bread crumbs
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Pecans, ground
  • Pn Salt and pepper
  • 1 t garlic Powder

Cooking Tofu pecan cutlets

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Brush a cookie sheet with oil cut tofu in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 7 slices, ½" thick and 1 ½" square.
3. Marinatei tofu in water, tamari, sherry, oil, pepper and ¼ t basil for at least 30 minutes.
4. Mixi 2 t flour with ¾ cup water until well blended.
5. Mix together breadcrumbs, pecans, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and one teaspoon basil.
6. Dip tofu into remaining flour and then into flour/water mixture.
7. Dip tofu cutlets into bread crumbs mixture and place on cookie sheet.
8. Bakei for 10 minutes.
9. Turn cutlets over and bake 10 minutes more until golden brown.
