Tofu Patties ingredients

  • 1⁄2 Onions
  • 1 Celery stalk
  • 1⁄2 Green bell pepper
  • 2 T Oil
  • 20 oz tofu
  • 1 Eggs
  • 2 T Whole-wheat flour
  • 2 T Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 t curry powder
  • Wheat germ

Cooking Tofu Patties

1. Chopi the onion, celery and green pepper fine and saute in oil until soft.
2. Drain the tofu in a colander, then mash it with a fork and mix in the egg, flour and soy sauce.
3. Add vegetables and either the curry powder or the cheese.
4. Form into small patties and roll in the wheat germ, cornmeal or sesame seeds.
5. Browni on a griddle or skillet, or bake in a 350 °F. Oven. Note: ½ cup grated cheddar cheese may be substituted for the curry powder.
