Texarkana Style Chili ingredients

  • 1 T Corn oil
  • 2 lb ground Beef Top Round
  • 1 c Onions
  • 1 T garlic
  • 3 T flour
  • 3 T Hot chili powder
  • 1 t Cumin
  • 2 t Salt
  • 16 oz can kidney beans
  • 3 c water

Cooking Texarkana Style Chili

1. Heat corn oil in a large skillet, over a moderate flame.
2. Add beef, onions, and garlic.
3. Sautei for 10 minutes, drain well.
4. Combine flour, chile powder, salt, and cumin in a saucepan, over a medium flame.
5. Gradually whisk in hot water-mix well.
6. Stiri into beef mixture-mix well.
7. Pour into a cassarole dish.
8. Stir in beans-mix well.
9. Serve hot.
