- 1 t baking powder
- 4 Eggs
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Oil
- 1 t Almond
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Raisins
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Nuts; crushed
- For syrup:
- 1 lb Honey ( 1 jar )
- 1 c Sugar
- 2483527⁄624973141 c water
Cooking Taiglach K.G.
1. In mixing bowl place: 2 1/2 cups sifted flour, Salti, baking powder, Make a well and add: 4 eggs, 1/4 cup oil, almond; Add (optional) 1/2 cup raisins, nuts,crushed.
2. Mixi together with wooden spoon.
3. Break off one teaspoon of dough and roll with floured hands into pencil thick strips.
4. Tie into a knot and tuck ends under.
5. Drop knots of dough into boiling syrup made of: 1 lb. honey (1 jar), sugar, 1/2 cup water.
6. Cover and cook 20 minutes or until browned.
7. Pour into side pot of 3/4 cup boiling water.
8. Stiri in 1 teaspoon ginger.
9. Store syrup in covered container.
