Sweet-And-Pungent Shrimp ingredients

  • 372529⁄-2009260032 lb Shrimps, peeled and deveined
  • 1 Egg whites
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1 t white wine
  • Cornstarch
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • 2 Green onions; chopped
  • **Pungent Sauce**

  • 2483527⁄624973141 t hot chile paste
  • 2 T Catsup
  • 2 T Lemon juice
  • 3 T Sugar
  • 2 T Vinegar
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt

Cooking Sweet-And-Pungent Shrimp

1. Clean shrimp and pat dry. Beat egg white (save yolk for another use, if desired) and add salt, wine and 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch.
2. Add shrimp and turn to coat well.
3. Marinatei at least 30 minutes.
4. Lightly coat shrimp in additional cornstarch.
5. Heat oil for deep frying until hot. Add shirmp and cook until shrimp is golden brown and crisp.
6. Remove shrimp and drain.
7. Clean pan. Add 2 tablespoons oil and heat until hot. Add chopped green onions and Pungent Saucei.
8. Add shrimp and toss unti heated through and well coated with sauce.
9. Pungent Sauce: Combine all ingredients and mix well.
