Sweet spicy chili sauce ingredients

  • 1 garlic cloves
  • 1 Spanish onion, cut in ¼s
  • 2 Fresh green chilies, seeded
  • 2 T Corn oil
  • 2483527⁄624973141 T Ground ginger
  • 1 cn Tomatoes in juice (8 oz)
  • c Seedless raisins
  • 1 T Lemon juice
  • 1 T Dark soy sauce
  • 2 T Light-brown sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh ground pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley sprig (opt)

Cooking Sweet spicy chili sauce

1. In a blender or food processor, finely chop garlic, onion and chilies.
2. Heat oil in a saucepan.
3. Add onion mixture and ginger and cook gently 3 minutes.
4. Add tomatoes and break up with a spoon.
5. Stiri in raisins, lemon juice, soy sauce, brown sugar and water.
6. Bring to a boil.
7. Reducei heat and simmer 15 minutes, uncovered.
8. Process in a blender or food processor to desired consistency.
9. Reheat and season with salt and pepper.
10. Garnishi with parsley sprig, if desired.
11. Makes 2-½ cups.
12. Note: serve hot with grilled steak, fried chicken or grilled whitefish.
