Sweet Cherry Ice

Sweet Cherry Ice ingredients
- 3 c fresh Northwest sweet cherri
- 2⁄3 c Unsweetened applesauce
- 1⁄3 c Sugar
- 1 Unflavored gelatin
- 1 t Lemon juice
- 1⁄2 t Ground cinnamon
- 1 ds Ground cloves
Cooking Sweet Cherry Ice
1. Pureei cherries in blender, food processor or food mill.
2. Combine cherry puree with applesauce and sugar.
3. Soften gelatin in cold water; heat until completely dissolved.
4. Stiri gelatin mixture, lemon juice and spices into fruit mixture.
5. Pour mixture into 13 X 9 X 2-inch pan and freeze.
6. Spoon into large, chilled bowl and beat until light and fluffy (working quickly to prevent melting).
7. Return to pan and freeze until firm.
