Sweet and spicy german mustard ingredients

  • 2⁄3 c Mustard seed
  • 1⁄2 c Dry mustard
  • 1 c Cold water
  • 2 c Cider vinegar
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1⁄4 c Brown sugar
  • 2 T Salt
  • 1 T Cinnamon
  • 1⁄2 T Allspice
  • 1⁄2 T tarragon
  • 1⁄4 T Turmeric
  • 4 T Honey

Cooking Sweet and spicy german mustard

1. Combine seeds and mustard with cold water.
2. Allow to sit refrigerated overnight.
3. Combine all remaining ingredients except honey.
4. Simmeri, uncovered 10-15 minutes, reduce volume by one half.
5. Pour this mixture through a strainer, into mustard and seed mixture.
6. Blenderize thoroughly.
7. Cook in double boiler until consistancy of gravy.
8. Add honey.
9. Will keep refrigerated several years.
