Surprise bran muffins

Surprise bran muffins ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 c bran flakes
- 1 1⁄4 c Milk
- 1⁄3 c Margarine, melted
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1 1⁄4 c flour
- 1⁄2 c Sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 1⁄2 t Salt
- 1⁄4 c Raspberry preserves
Cooking Surprise bran muffins
1. Combine cereal and milk, let stand 2 minutes.
2. Add margarine and egg; mix well.
3. Add combined dry ingredients, mixing just until moistened.
4. Spoon into greased medium-sized muffin pan. Make a deep indentation in top of batter for each muffin.
5. Fill with preserves.
6. Bakei at 400 °F for 25 minutes.
7. Makes 1 dozen.
