Surimi Seafood Pilaf ingredients

  • 1 c Long grain rice
  • 2483527⁄624973141 lb Green beans
  • 1 marinated artichoke bottoms
  • 1 c Red onion
  • 1 T Medium-sweet sherry
  • 1 T Orange juice concentrate
  • 1 t Dried basil
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 oz chunk-style surimi seafood
  • 12 Cherry tomatoes
  • 2 t Jalapeno peppers

Cooking Surimi Seafood Pilaf

1. If using marinated artichoke hearts, trim tough inner choke and halve any large hearts.
2. Surimii Seafood may be lobster- or crab-flavored.
3. Cook rice according to package directions.
4. While rice is cooking, cook green beans, drain and set aside.
5. Drain artichoke bottoms, quarter them and reserve marinade.
6. Spoon a tablespoon of oil from marinade into a skillet.
7. Heat oil on medium heat, add onion and saute until softened, about 5 minutes, stirring.
8. Remove from heat and stir in reserved marinade, sherry, orange juice concentrate, basil and black pepper.
9. Place warm rice into a large bowl.
10. Add Surimi Seafood, tomatoes, green beans and jalapeno peppers.
11. With a rubber spatula, scrape onion mixture on top. Gently toss and serve warm.
