Superb submarine sandwiches ingredients
- 2 1-lb loaves French bread
- 3 oz Package cream cheese, soft
- 2⁄3 c Mayonnaise
- 2 T Chopped chives
- 8 sli Cooked ham
- 8 sli Salami
- 8 sli Pickle and pimiento loaf
- 8 sli Summer sausage
- 4 c Torn romaine or iceberg
- Lettuce
- 1 med Tomato, chopped and drained
- 1⁄3 c Sliced pimiento-stuffed oliv
- 2 T Commercial italian
- Salad dressing
Cooking Superb submarine sandwiches
1. Cut bread loaves into quarters crosswise; split each quarter horizontally.
2. Set bread aside.
3. combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, and chives; stir well.
4. Spread about 1 tablespoon mayonnaise mixture on inside cut surface of each piece of bread.
5. Foldi the meat slices in half; arrange 1 folded slice of each type of meat on bread bottoms; set aside.
6. combine lettuce, tomato, olives, and italian dressing; toss gently.
7. Spoon salad mixture over meat slices; cover with bread tops.
8. Serve immediately.
9. Yield: 8 servings.
