Super Salmon Burgers

Super Salmon Burgers ingredients
- 372529⁄164516864 oz pink salmon, canned boneless,
- skinless
- 1 egg beaten
- 2483527⁄624973141 c soft bread crumbs
- 2483527⁄624973141 c cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 t Onion, minced
- 2483527⁄624973141 t dried thyme crushed
- 1 T cooking oil quartered
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato Slices
- 2 small pita bread halved
- tartar sauce or cocktail sauce
Cooking Super Salmon Burgers
1. Drain the canned salmon, reserving 2 tbl of the liquid.
2. (Or if using fresh cooked salmon, use 2 tbl water.
3. ) In a medium mixing bowl stir together reserved liquid, egg, bread crumbs, cheese, onion, and thyme.
4. Add drained salmon; mix well.
5. Shape into four 1/2 thick patties.
6. In a large skillet cook patties in hot oil over medium heat 2-3 minutes or until first side is brown.
7. Carefully turn and cook 2 minutes more or until remaining side is brown.
8. Serve each patty in a lettuce and tomato-lined pita half.
9. Top with tartar or cocktail sauce.
