Sugar Cookies # 3 ingredients

  • 2483527⁄624973141 c butter, softened
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Sugar
  • 1 large Eggs
  • 1 T Grated lemon peel
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 c All-purpose flour
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • water

Cooking Sugar Cookies # 3

1. Creami butter in large mixer bowl.
2. Add sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in egg, lemon peel and extract until well blended.
4. Gradually mix in flour and salt until well blended.
5. Beat in wate r, a few drops at a time, only until dough starts to come away from sides of bowl.
6. Shape dough into a large flat disk; wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate 2-3 hours.
7. Preheat oven to 350^.
8. Roll dough on lightly floured surface to 1/8 thickness.
9. Cut with cookie cutters dipped in flour.
10. Bakei 10-12 minutes or until cookies begin to brown around the edges.
11. Care fully remove from cookie sheets.
12. Cool completely on wire racks.
13. Decorate as desired if cookies have not been painted.
14. A while back, someone was looking for a GOOD cut out cookie that held it's shape in moving from cutting board to cookie sheet.
15. This is a great one, and a really good little idea for decorating, using edible tempra colors.
