Strawberry Lilies ingredients

  • 1⁄4 c Granulated sugar
  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 2 c All-purpose flour
  • 1⁄4 t Salt
  • 1⁄2 c Strawberry jam
  • Powdered sugar; optional

Cooking Strawberry Lilies

1. Recipe by: Land O Lakes Holiday Memories In a large mixer bowl, combine the sugar, butter, cream cheese and vanilla extract.
2. Beat on medium speed, scraping the bowl often, for about 1 minute until well mixed.
3. Reducei the speed to low; add the flour and salt.
4. Continue beating, scraping the bowl often, for 1 to 2 minutes until well mixed.
5. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
6. Wrap in plastic wrap.
7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
8. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
9. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough, one portion at a time, to 1/8-inch thick.
10. Keep the remaining dough refrigerated.
11. Cut with a 2-inch round cookie cutter.
12. Place on cookie sheets 1 inch apart.
13. Spoon 1/4 teaspoon jam onto the center of each circle; spread to within 1/4-inch of the edge.
14. With a thin spatula, fold the dough over the jam to form a lily shape; gently press the narrow end to seal.
15. The jam will show at the toop and the cookies will be cone-shaped.
16. Repeat with the remaining dough and jam. Bakei for 7 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are very lightly browned.
17. Cool completely.
18. Sprinkle the cooled cookies lightly with powdered sugar.
