Stir-fry beef with peppers and onion ingredients
- 2 T Peanut oil
- 2 T soy sauce
- 2 T Dry sherry
- 2 T water
- 2 t Cornstarch
- 1⁄2 t Sugar
- 2 Garlic cloves, crushed
- 12 oz Sirloin steak, thin sliced
- 1 Sweet red pepper, thin strips
- 1 Sweet yellow pepper, thin str
- 1 Onion, large, ½d & cut/strip
- 1⁄4 lb Mushrooms, halved/quartered
Cooking Stir-fry beef with peppers and onion
1. Combine 1 tablespoon oil, soy sauce, sherry, water, cornstarch, sugar and garlic in a shallow nonmetal dish.
2. Add the steak strips.
3. § Heat remaining tablespoon oil in wok or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add peppers, onion, mushrooms; stir-fry 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
5. Remove and reserve.
6. § Add undrained steak to wok; stir-fry 2 minutes until no longer pink.
7. Return vegetables to wok; stir-fry to heat through.
8. Serve over rice.
