Steamed sambal, peasant style (sambal lada uap) ingredients

- 5 Fresh red chillies
- 1 Onion, quartered
- 2 Tomatoes
- Salt, to taste
- 1⁄4 t Shrimp paste, grilled
- -lightly, or 1 anchovy
- -fillet
Cooking Steamed sambal, peasant style (sambal lada uap)
1. Place chilli, onion and tomatoes in a bowl and steam until tender.
2. Put in a blender with salt to taste and shrimp paste to make into a very fine paste.
3. Or pound in a mortar.
4. Yields 1 small bowl.
