Steak Nicola ingredients

  • 4 1/2 lb fillet mignon steaks
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c dry port
  • 2483527⁄624973141 lb Mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 T butter
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t ketchup
  • 1 c Creme fraiche
  • 1 t worchestershire sause
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2483527⁄624973141 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Shallots, chopped
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Beef broth
  • 1 T Cornstarch
  • 1 T Oil
  • 4 t olive oil
  • potatoes noisettes -- to decorate

Cooking Steak Nicola

1. Heat 2 T butter in pan and cook mushrooms along with onion and shallot.
2. Add broth, ketchup and worcestershire.
3. Cook 1 min. Stiri cream with cornstarch and stir into sauce until thick Seasoni with salt and pepper.
4. Set aside.
5. Heat oil in another pan. Add butter and cook steaks rare, 1 min on each side.
6. Remove steaks to individual baking dishes oiled with olive oil. deglaze pan where steaks have been cooked with the wine.
7. Pour pan juices over steaks and top with cream sauce.
8. Bakei in pre-heated 375 degree oven for 10 mins.
9. Surround each steak with potatoes noisettes and serve very hot in the same dish where they were baked.
