Steak and onion salad ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak
- 372529⁄-2009260032 t Salt
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Ground black pepper
- 4 c Leaf lettuce, in pieces
- 1 med Onion, thinly sliced (2 c)
- 2 c Cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 c Sweet red bell pepper
- -sliced
- 2483527⁄624973141 c olive oil
- 3 T Lime Juice
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Fresh dill, chopped
Cooking Steak and onion salad
1. Preheat broiler.
2. Seasoni steak with ΒΌ tsp of the salt and 1/8 teaspoon of the ground black pepper.
3. Broili 1 to 2 inches from the heat until desired doneness (3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare).
4. Cut into thin slices; cool slightly.
5. Place in a large salad bowl with lettuce, onions, cucumber and red pepper, set aside.
6. In a cup, combine olive oil, lime juice, dill and remaining 1 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper; pour over salad; serve immediately.
