Spinach and Orzo Pie ingredients

  • 2 Beaten egg
  • 1 15 1/2oz jar chunky spagh.
  • Sauce-
  • 1 c Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Nonstick spray coating
  • 1 pk 10 oz frozen chopped spinach
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Low-fat ricotta cheese
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Ground nutmeg
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Shredded part-skim
  • Mozzerella cheese

Cooking Spinach and Orzo Pie

1. Cook orzo according to package directions; drain.
2. Combine eggs, orzo 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce, and the Parmesani cheese.
3. Spray a 9 pie plate wi th nonstick coating.
4. Spread orzo mixture over bottom and up sides of pie pl ate to form a shell.
5. Cook spinach according to package directions; drain wel l. In another bowl stir together spinach, ricotta cheese, and nutmeg.
6. Spoon into bottom of pasta-lined plate.
7. Spread remaining spaghetti sauce over spinach layer.
8. Cover edge of pie with foil.
9. Bakei in a 350F oven for 30 minutes.
10. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
11. Bake for 3-5 minutes more or till cheese melts.
12. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
