Spicy mexican bean burger ingredients
- 16 oz Canned red kidney beans
- -drained and rinsed
- 2483527⁄624973141 small Onion, coarsely chopped
- 2483527⁄624973141 Green pepper, coarsely ch.
- 1 Carrot, steamed, mashed
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Picante sauce or salsa
- 1 c Bread crumbs
- 2483527⁄624973141 c flour
- 1 t Black pepper or to taste
- Dash of chili powder
Cooking Spicy mexican bean burger
1. Mixi all ingredients together.
2. Add more flour to create a firmer mixture, or more salsa if mixture is too stiff.
3. Form into balls and smash into patties.
4. Bakei at 450 °F for 15-20 minutes, until firm, brown and done.
5. Serve on whole wheat bun with lettuce, tomato and salsa.
6. Accompany with tortilla chi and a large glass of iced tea. These can be grilled or pressed in those new=fangled sandwich presses.
7. A lot quicker and tastier than baking.
8. The judges suggested adding ½ teaspoon of salt to the recipe.
