Spicy mango chutney ingredients

  • 4 lb Mature green mangoes
  • 1 large Onions
  • 8 oz Green gingerroot, peeled
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 lb Brown sugar
  • 2 oz Yellow chili peppers
  • 3 t Salt
  • 4 c Vinegar
  • 2 lb currants
  • 2 lb Raisins

Cooking Spicy mango chutney

1. Force magoes, onion, gingerroot and garlic through food chopper, using coarse blade.
2. Add remaining ingredients and let stand overnight.
3. Bring to a boil and boil rapidly until thick.
4. Pour into hot sterilized pint jars, and seal.
