Spicy mango chutney ingredients
- 4 lb Mature green mangoes
- 1 large Onions
- 8 oz Green gingerroot, peeled
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 lb Brown sugar
- 2 oz Yellow chili peppers
- 3 t Salt
- 4 c Vinegar
- 2 lb currants
- 2 lb Raisins
Cooking Spicy mango chutney
1. Force magoes, onion, gingerroot and garlic through food chopper, using coarse blade.
2. Add remaining ingredients and let stand overnight.
3. Bring to a boil and boil rapidly until thick.
4. Pour into hot sterilized pint jars, and seal.
5. Makes about 8 pints recipe by: woman"s day encyclopedia of cookery.
