Spicy Curried Meatballs ingredients
- 750 g minced steak
- 250 g sausage, mince
- 1 T curry powder
- some salt and pepper
- 2 Eggs
- 3 T fruit chutney
- 1 large Onions
- 60 g butter
- 1 large onion (extra)
- 2 T curry powder (extra)
- 1 t Paprika
- 1 in. piece green ginger
- 1 clv garlic
- 2 t Turmeric
- 2 T Plain flour
Cooking Spicy Curried Meatballs
1. Ingredients - Con't: 2. 5 cup water, 3 Tbsp tomato paste, 3 tbsp fruit chutney (extra), 1 green apple Put minced steak sausage mince curry powder fruit chutney and peeled and finely chopped onion into a bowl; mix well.
2. Roll table spoons of mixture into balls.
3. Heat butter in pan. Add quarter of the meatballs, cook until golden brown, shaking pan constantly.
4. Remove meatballs from the pan. Repeat with remaining meatballs.
5. Add peeled and finely chopped extra onion,extra curry powder, paprika, peeled and grated ginger, crushed garlic and turmeric, saute gently until onion is tender.
6. Add flour,stir until golden brown, add water, tomato paste, extra fruit chutney and grated apple, stir until sauce boils and thickens.
7. Return meat balls to the pan. Seasoni with salt and pepper.
8. Cover pan and simmer gently 30 minutes or until meatballs are tender.
