Spicy Chili with Sour Cream Dumplings ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 c Chopped onion
  • 2 clv garlic -- crushed
  • 2 t Chili powder
  • 1 t Sugar
  • 1⁄2 t Salt
  • 1⁄4 t Pepper
  • 1 cn stewed tomatoes -- undrained (16 oz.)
  • 1 cn kidney beans -- undrained (15 1/2
  • -- oz.)
  • 1 cn tomato sauce -- (15 oz.)
  • 1 cn chopped green chilies -- undrained (4 oz.)
  • 1⁄4 c Sour cream
  • 1⁄4 c Milk
  • 1 1⁄4 c Bisquick baking mix

Cooking Spicy Chili with Sour Cream Dumplings

1. Cook and stir ground beef, onion and garlic in 4-quart Dutch oveni until beef i s brown; drain.
2. Stiri in chili powder, sugar, salt, pepper, stewed tomatoes, kidney beans, toma to sauce and green chilies.
3. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently; reduce heat.
4. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour.
5. Mixi sour cream and milk in medium bowl until smooth.
6. Mix in baking mix until soft dough forms.
7. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto hot chili.
8. Cook uncovered over low heat 10 min utes.
9. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer.
10. Sprinkle with snipped parsley if desired.
