Spicy Barbecued Cashews ingredients

  • 2483527⁄624973141 c corn syrup
  • 2 T water
  • 2 t Salt, coarse
  • 2 t Cumin, ground
  • 1 t curry powder
  • 1 t Cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb Cashews, raw, unsalted

Cooking Spicy Barbecued Cashews

1. "For a not-so-spicy version, use half the amount of curry powder and cayenne, Raw, unsalted cashews are available at bulk and health food stores.
2. I like to give these away in 1/2 cup amounts in little plastic bags tied with attractive ribbons.
3. Be sure to label them "spicy".
4. " In medium saucepan, combine corn syrup with water and spices.
5. Bring to a boil.
6. Stiri in the nuts.
7. Spread on cookie sheet lined with aluminium foil and bake 1 hour at 275F.
8. Stir every 20 minutes.
9. Remove from oven and cool 20 minutes.
10. MAKES: ABOUT 3 CUPS.
