Spiced Oil

Spiced Oil ingredients
- 1⁄2 Carrots
- 1 lime, slice
- 1 lemon, slice
- 1 bay leaf, fresh
- 4 basil, leaves, fresh
- 1 thyme, sprig
- 3 garlic, cloves, unpeeled
- 1 t Pepper, black
- 1 bell pepper, red, slice
- 3 1⁄2 c oil, olive
- 1 rosemary, fresh, sprig
- 1 tomato, slice
- 2 Shallots
- 1 t Pepper, red
- 1 Scallions
Cooking Spiced Oil
1. Place the vegetables and spices in a jar and add the oil. Set aside for at least 4 days before using.
2. Can be stored for 2 weeks, or strain and store indefinitely.
3. For a fast pasta dish, toss 1/4 cup of this herbed oil with some fresh pasta and steamed vegetables, or use it in summer pasta salads.
