Spetzque ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 1 1⁄2 lb Ground Beef, 7% fat
  • 16 oz spaghetti sauce, Classico Sun Dried Tomato
  • ds Pepper
  • ds Dried oregano
  • ds Italian seasoning
  • 1 1⁄4 c frozen corn -- thawed
  • 1 1⁄4 c frozen peas -- thawed
  • 2 c shredded nonfat mozzarella cheese

Cooking Spetzque

1. 1. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
2. Drain.
3. 2. Cook beef in large skillet over medium-high heat until meat is brown, stirring to separate meat.
4. Drain.
5. Return to pan 3. Add olives and onion.
6. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender.
7. Add spaghetti sauce and seasonings.
8. Heat through, stirring occasionally; set aside.
9. 4. Preheat oven to 350°F.
10. 5. Place 3 noodles in bottom of 13x9 inch baking dish.
11. Spread half the beef mixture over noodles, then half the corn and peas.
12. 6. Repeat layers ending with noodles.
13. 6. Bakei lasagne 25 minutes.
14. Sprinkle with cheese; bake 5 minutes more or until bubbly.
15. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.


I made a mistake (left out olives) over 8 years ago when I first entered this recipe into Mastercook and sent it off to a couple of online groups. Now I finally get around to making this again and go looking for the recipe online to figure out how much olives to add and imagine my shock when I google the recipe and find this recipe - which is the original one I posted - mistake and all. ROFL
