Spanish Anise Sticks ingredients

  • 2 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Sugar
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c -Shortening
  • 2 Eggs, well beaten
  • 2 dr Anise oil

Cooking Spanish Anise Sticks

1. Heat oven to 375. Blend dry ingredeints; cut in shortening until particles are like large peas.
2. Stiri in eggs and anise oil. Mixi thoroughly with hands.
3. Using 1/2 dough at a time roll 1/4 thick on lightly floured board.
4. Cut ini sticks 4 x 1/2. Place on ungreased baking sheet about 1/2 apart.
5. Brush with soft or melted butter or margarine.
6. Bakei 10-12 minutes.
