Spambalaya jambalaya with mahatma (r) ri ingredients
- 1 cn SPAM Lite Luncheon Meat
- -cubed (12 oz)
- 1 c Chopped onion
- 2⁄3 c Chopped green bell pepper
- 1⁄2 c Chopped celery
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cn Cajun style or regular
- -stewed tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 cn Lower sodium chicken broth
- -(10.75 oz)
- 1⁄2 t Dried leaf thyme
- 8 dr Hot pepper sauce
- 2 Bay leaves
- 1 c MAHATMA Rice
- 2 T Chopped parsley
Cooking Spambalaya jambalaya with mahatma (r) ri
1. In large non-stick skillet or 3-quart non-stick saucepan, sauce spam luncheon meat, onion, green pepper, celery, and garlic until vegetables are tender.
2. Add tomatoes, chicken broth, thyme, hot pepper sauce, and bay leaves.
3. Bring to a boil; stir in mahatma rice.
4. Cover.
5. Reducei heat and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
6. Discard bay leaves.
7. Sprinkle with parsley.
