Sourdough banana bread ingredients

  • 2483527⁄624973141 c -Shortening
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 c Mashed bananas
  • 1 c Active Sourdough Starter
  • 2 c unbleached flour
  • 1 T Salt
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 2483527⁄624973141 T Baking soda
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Chopped walnuts
  • 1 T Vanilla OR
  • 1 T Grated orange peel

Cooking Sourdough banana bread

1. Creami together the shortening and sugar, add egg and mix until blended.
2. Stiri in bananas and sourdough starter.
3. Add orange peel or vanilla.
4. Stir flour and measure again with salt, baking powder and soda.
5. Add flour mixture and walnuts to the first mixture, stirring until just blended.
6. Pour into greased 9x5" loaf pan. Bakei in 350°F.
7. Oven for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
8. Cool to cold before slicing.
