Sour cream tarts

- Yield:
Sour cream tarts ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 c Sour cream, scalded
- 1 1⁄2 T Corn-starch
- 1⁄4 t Nutmeg
- 1 c Chopped nuts
- 1 c Sugar
- Few grains salt
- 1⁄4 t cloves
- 3 Egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 9 T Powdered sugar
Cooking Sour cream tarts
1. Combine sugar, corn-starch, salt, nutmeg, and cloves.
2. Add to cream.
3. Mixi thoroughly.
4. Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.
5. Cool. Add nuts.
6. Pour into baked individual pastry shells.
7. Foldi powdered sugar into egg whites.
8. Pile lightly on top of pastry.
9. Bakei in slow oven (325°F) 20 minutes.
