Soft ginger cookies ingredients

  • 12 c flour
  • 4 c molasses
  • 2 c Shortening
  • 2 c Milk, sour
  • 2 t Baking soda
  • 2 T Ginger
  • 2 T Cinnamon
  • 1 t Salt
  • 2 Eggs, beaten

Cooking Soft ginger cookies

1. Sifti flour in pan, form a well in center.
2. Add shortening, molasses.
3. Sour milk in which soda has been dissolved.
4. Add spices, salt and egg. Mixi quickly to a smooth soft dough.
5. Bakei in moderate oven.
6. This recipe is more than 100 years old. Note: moderate oven is 350 - 400°F.
