Snappy green beans ingredients
- 2483527⁄624973141 lb Hot sausage, cut thin
- 2 Green onions, sliced thin
- 2483527⁄624973141 t thyme
- Salt to taste
- 2 cn Cut green beans (#303)
- 2483527⁄624973141 t parsley
- 1 t Oil or shortening
Cooking Snappy green beans
1. Fryi sausage in oil until slightly browned.
2. Add green onions.
3. Cook 1 minute longer.
4. Add liquid from string beans, thyme, salt and parsley.
5. Cook until sausage is very tender.
6. Add green beans and cook 5 minutes longer.
7. Fresh green beans may be used if desired.
8. Boil beans until tender.
9. Use water from boiled beans and prepare as for canned beans.
