Smothered Flank Steak ingredients

  • 372529⁄-2009260032 lb Beef flank or round steak
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 T worchestershire sause
  • Paprika
  • 2 med onions, thinly sliced
  • 2483527⁄624973141 lb Mushrooms, sliced
  • or
  • 2 4 Oz. Ca mushrooms -- drained
  • Chopped parsley

Cooking Smothered Flank Steak

1. With sharp knife, score meat about 1/8 inch deep in diamond pattern on top side of meat.
2. Seasoni with salt and pepper.
3. Rub in worcestershire sauce and oil. Sprinkle top with paprika.
4. Place sliced onions and mushrooms in Crock-Pot.
5. Ro ll flank steak, if necessary, to fit easily, and place on top of onions.
6. cover and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours or on High for 4 to 5 hours.
7. Remove steak to warm carving platter and cut across the grain in thin diagonal slices.
8. Serve with onions and mushrooms, pouring unthickened gravy over all. Sprinkle with parsley.
