Smoked Salmon Quiche

Smoked Salmon Quiche ingredients
- Pastry Crust:
- 1 c All-purpose flour
- 1 T butter
- 1 T Corn oil
- 2 T Water, Cold
- FILLING
- 1 T butter
- 2 T White onions, chopped
- 3 Eggs, large
- 4 T Cream, whipping
- Topping:
- 8 Sliced smoked salmon
- 1 dill
Cooking Smoked Salmon Quiche
1. PASTRY CRUST: Sifti the all purpose flour into a mixing bowl.
2. Combine with the corn oil, butter and a dash of salt.
3. Mixi well until the texture resembles bread crumbs.
4. Add the cold water, and mix well to form a dough.
5. Kneadi lightly and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
6. FILLING: In a frying pan, saute the onions in butter.
7. Set aside.
8. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs well.
9. Add the cream and grated gruyere cheese and mix well.
10. QUICHE: Roll out the pastry dough in an 8-inch round baking dish.
11. Spread the fried onions on the bottom of the pastry crust.
12. Pour in the egg and cream mixture.
13. Bakei in a preheated oven for approximately half an hour - until the filling has set. Temperature of oven should be set at 400 degrees Farenheit.
14. - Top with 8 pieces of thinly sliced smoked salmon and some sprigs of dill.
