Smoked salmon marinade from backwoods frank ingredients

  • 1⁄2 gal Hot water
  • 1⁄2 c Kosher salt
  • 1 1⁄2 c Brown sugar
  • 3 T garlic Powder
  • 3 T Coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1⁄2 c soy sauce
  • 1 T bay leaves -- crushed

Cooking Smoked salmon marinade from backwoods frank

1. Stiri until dissolved.
2. Allow brine to cool.
3. Add salmon fillets, soak covered for 3 hours in refrigerator.
4. Remove fillets and air dry for at least 1 hour.
5. Smoke in a single layer for about 2 hours at 250 degrees or until firm and golden.
